Patel Labs releases V Squad's reggae-influenced tribute to Pascagoula

PASCAGOULA, Miss. -- Nashville-based multimedia content studio Patel Labs released alternative digital artist V Squad's "The Pirates of Pascagoula" to numerous online music stores and services.

The song is a thumping, grooving tour of Pascagoula and the surrounding area. It includes lyrical references to nearby Gautier and Ocean Springs, Miss. as well as Pascagoula landmarks and businesses such as Jimmy Buffet Bridge, Bozo's Seafood Market and Deli, Edd's Drive In, Jerry Lee's grocery, Thunder's Tavern and more. There is even a reference to homes built by Gulf Coast architect and builder Carroll B. Ishee.

"We visited Pascagoula this summer and found it to be inspiring," said V Squad producer Herb Broadway. "The song basically wrote itself as we were getting to know Pascagoula and the area."

Patel Labs has a worldwide distribution deal which makes "The Pirates of Pascagoula" available on more than 30 online services and stores including Apple Music, the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Spotify, Google Play, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and Tidal.
